Teen athletes are integrated into our regular CrossFit classes rather than placed in a separate teen class. This gives them access to the same coaching structure, community, and movement education while allowing coaches to scale appropriately.
Coaches adjust loading, movement complexity, volume, and intensity based on the athlete's age, training history, maturity, and movement quality.
For athletes with prior sports or training experience, participation may be appropriate from around age 9. Younger athletes are evaluated individually rather than admitted based on age alone.
CrossFit can help young athletes build general strength, coordination, conditioning, body control, and confidence that transfer well to other sports and everyday activity.
Technique and movement quality come before loading or leaderboard performance.
Parents of younger athletes should contact us before the first visit so we can discuss sports background, training experience, maturity, and the best class environment for that athlete.
